We’re looking for a Payroll Advisor to combine technical payroll expertise with system administration responsibilities, supporting our outsourced payroll provision and flexible benefits. You’ll work closely with the Shared Services Manager and Head of People Systems to ensure data integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement across our people systems.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for payroll and data queries, supporting colleagues and managers with iTrent and flexible benefits. You’ll prepare payroll data templates, manually calculate net pay, and carry out detailed monthly checks, including redundancy calculations. Your analytical skills will be key as you run and interpret reports, spot trends and anomalies, and ensure data accuracy. You’ll also manage car fleet and allowance administration, post-payroll tasks like pension and benefit reporting, and respond to external earnings enquiries. Additionally, you’ll support benefit windows such as Holiday Trading and Cycle to Work, maintain system integrity through regular data cleansing, and play a vital role in user acceptance testing and troubleshooting, escalating issues to system providers when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with HR/payroll systems (ideally iTrent).
 - Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and spreadsheet skills.
 - A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
 - Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
 - Awareness of data protection and payroll legislation.
 - A collaborative mindset and customer-focused approach.
 
Appointment to this role will be subject to satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
